I like my life neat. Predictable. Controlled. Running the family construction business keeps me busy enough, and living above the office means I never really clock out—but at least my space is mine.

Then Jules crashes into my world like a dropped paint can. They’re all bright colors and big feelings, with a talent for art and a knack for leaving coffee cups everywhere they shouldn’t be. When they find themself suddenly in need of a place to stay, I offer up my spare room before I can think better of it.
